Dates for 2012 / 2013



 

Nutrition and Diabetes 1 - University of Nottingham 2012 (Masters Level : 20 credits)As a result of a collaboration with The University of Nottingham , DMEG is delighted to confirm the 2012 dates for the Nutrition and Diabetes 1 module aimed at band 5/6 practitioners who are new to working with people with diabetes. Please see attached flyer. The module will be delivered over the Spring 2012 academic term on the Sutton Bonington campus in Nottingham. Attendance dates are: 10th and 11th May 2012 and July 5th and 6th 2012.
Teaching will include lectures and seminars and group work. Students will be expected to undertake self directed learning and undertake assessment in order to meet the learning outcomes.
Please note that Learning Beyond Registration funding is available for practitioners in the East Midlands region.
Applicants must get approval from the appropriate manager in their organisation to access SHA funded places.
If applicants do not fall into the above category, then the module cost is £700. If interested, please contact amanda.avery@nottingham.ac.uk

A further module Nutrition and Diabetes 2, aimed at the more experienced practitioner (Band 6/7) will be delivered in the autumn semester and again further details are available and will be circulated via the membership shortly. Please contact amanda.avery@nottingham.ac.uk

 

Nutrition and Diabetes 2 - University of Nottingham 2012 (Masters Level : 20 credits)
As a result of a collaboration with The University of Nottingham, DMEG is delighted to confirm the 2012 dates for the Nutrition and Diabetes 2 module aimed at band 6/7 practitioners who have some experience of working with people with diabetes. Please see attached flyer. The module will be delivered over the Spring 2012 academic term on the Sutton Bonington campus in Nottingham. Attendance dates are: 12th and 13th July and 20th and 21st September 2012.
Teaching will include lectures and seminars and group work. Students will be expected to undertake self directed learning and undertake assessment in order to meet the learning outcomes.

Medicines Management Course - University of York Spring 2012 (Level 6: 20 credits)
As a result of a collaboration with The University of York , DMEG is delighted to confirm the 2011 dates for the Medicines Management module. Click here to view a flyer.
The module will be delivered over the Spring 2012 academic term on campus in York. Full taught attendance dates are: with 19th April, 3rd May, 17th May, 31st May, 14th June, 28th June. Teaching will include lectures and seminars. Students will be expected to access pre course material via the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in order to prepare for this programme. Please see timetable for further details.

Please note that places are offered at no charge to NHS Trust and primary care staff in areas covered by the Yorkshire and the Humber Strategic Health Authority (SHA). Places are available by agreement with the SHA to South Tees and Tees Esk and Wear Valley staff; please contact The University of York for more details. Funding is also available to professionals working in the ambulance service, prison service and hospices.
Applicants must get approval from the appropriate manager in their organisation to access SHA funded places.
